In 2018, my ex-wife and I purchased a plot of land in the forest outside the city. I became deeply engrossed in developing the architectural concept for our future home. It's important to mention that I don't have a formal education in architecture, so professional architects helped me with all the structural load calculations and material assessments. Designing the layout and user experience of our home was incredibly engaging, not to mention the work on the interior and the selection of finishing materials.
This project provided me with immense experience in process organization. It’s crucial to consider hundreds of details, such as the building's orientation to the sun and the planning of utilities (water, electricity, ventilation, and heating). After this experience, I feel confident in tackling large and complex projects.
This house is now in the hands of new owners, delighting its visitors as a weekend retreat.
