In 2018, I took on my biggest design challenge: building a house from scratch in the forest, acting as the
Lead Architect and Project Manager. While engineers handled the math, I owned the Concept, UX, and Interior Design. This project was a masterclass in
Process Organization: managing contractors, sourcing materials, and solving hundreds of logistical puzzles—from sunlight orientation to utility planning.
Building a house taught me to
think in systems. I learned to manage large-scale, complex projects where every detail matters—skills I now apply to building complex brands.
This house is now in the hands of new owners, delighting its visitors as a weekend retreat.
